WEEK 4: Update on my Road to Becoming Financially Free
As I typed the title of this blog, I started thinking: am I limiting myself to becoming just financially free? Should I want to become a Millionaire? I guess it's because I'm afraid of embarking on a really big goal. (Yes, I admit, having one million to me is already a big thing. It seems very unbelievable.) I know there are a lot of people saying (and even the blogs I read say the same thing) that having a million is actually achievable, it's just I guess it's something really big. And I'm afraid that along the line, I might get tired or something. But, hey why not push yourself to the limit? Why not give yourself that chance? After all, Lianne Martha Laroya said in her ebook, create your MILLIONAIRE MINDSET. So this is going to be my Millionaire Mindset with an Update on My Road to Becoming a Millionaire!
Okay, here's the blog post:
So I was still on my journey of learning after a week of getting some rest, having fun, enjoying the extra money I had. I loved how I can check one of my envelopes, and discover I still had 1000 pesos folded in the corner. I loved how I could eat at work, but I have decided to quit doing that because seriously, it's not doing any good for my body. I might as well stick to oatmeal and just buy something for my kids.
So trying to learn more about financials, I'm still gleaning over opening an account with Citiseconline. Knowing I'm going to expect a bulk of money this coming payday, I can sort of jump start on the savings fund and keep it away. I don't have to spend on anything much, and I don't have to rely on anyone for savings.
I guess I'm sort of affected because Jonathan's been having a little bit of trouble. He said he bought clothes for our daughter, which, hello, are you not aware? It's your responsibility to buy her clothes. Don't make it sound like you're a hero. She needs clothes. Now if you're having financial struggles with your paycheck, seriously, what's the deal? Why are you staying with that company? Why don't you talk to the people you're supposed to talk to instead of complaining and whining and sounding like a piece of shit? Hindi ka ba naapektuhan?
Ugh. Well, no one else is going to help him out with his problem. He's the only one that can solve it. Frankly, I'm tired of trying to help his ass.
But going back to my updates, so now I've experienced what it's like to be sort-of "financially free" it's already September 13, and my next pay out is coming in a week. I should get over the feeling of having extra money. Now that I have a goal, I know where I want to put my money into, I can actually start investing.
On Friday the 20th of September 2013, I should have a list of things to do. So on Friday, this is what I'm going to be doing:
- Deposit 3000 into BDO for ate Christy
- HOPEFULLY, open an account with PS Bank.
- Purchase a USB flash drive
- Get Ric to scan my stuff.
So those are the things I have to accomplish by that time. Well, this for now, more for later. Oh, yeah, I forgot, I need to sort of shop around for a gift for my five year old. I'm seriously considering getting her a tablet, but that depends, and I still need to go to Goldilocks to reserve a Rocky Road cake. So that's that. This for now, more for later.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog. :) Happy to say that at this point, YES :) I have done all the things I've listed. :) And I'm learning a little bit more each day, specially since I've been spending quite a while reading your blog and your articles, and everything else I could find about investing and planning. Thank you! :)
