The 2nd Week

Well, I have to admit, it is hard to do the budgeting.  Imagine, right into the first week of my "Road to Financial Freedom", I was hit with a problem.  Tyrese, my youngest still had a fever, and it seemed like she actually would have to be confined.   Well, all budgeting flew out the window, and I took out an emergency loan.  Darn it, when everything was already planned, I get hit by financial crises like these.  Okay.  Did I just get an insight as to what may possibly happen, and how to better prepare for it?  Yes. I have to admit, while all that was going on, I let a bit of myself get away.  I felt a little pinch in my heart the same way when a certain Mr. Perfect said the other day that he was irritated because he was supposed to purchase this gadget from an office mate who was wishy-washy in decision making, was set that he wasn't going to get the gadget, and then eventually the office mate decided he would sell it to Mr. Perfect.  W...

What I Really Use the Internet for

Well, the only things I use the Internet for is mostly for downloading movies.  That's about it.  I said I'm going to make it work for me, but unfortunately at this time, I haven't. I still need to figure out where I'm going to get the PHP200 I'm going to need for Internet connection for next week.  But the point is, I don't really have much use for the Internet to tell you the truth.  I just use it to download, and learn about stuff.  But that's basically it.  No monitoring of anything of any sort at the moment.  Speaking of which, I'm supposed to send the list of memorial plan thingie to Tito Arman.  This for now, maybe more for later!

August 22: Here We Go

I have finally started filling the envelopes I made.  I literally made envelopes, and marked them as: The Expenses Fund The Tithes Fund The Fun/Support Fund The Emergency Fund Per Bo Sanchez, there should actually be 5 envelopes including a Retirement fund envelope, but seeing as how I have to clear out my debts, well, I can't do the retirement fund thing first.  So as soon as I clear out my debts, or as soon as I'm down to just one last debt, then I can finally start my Retirement fund.  That's projected to happen by the 22nd of October.   So going back, yes I have started my savings fund.  It's not a lot although it is more than I expected.  I know I'm going to be going into my Fun Fund, but that's what it's there for, and it's a separate account and it's supposed to contain 1250, however, since I don't have change, I'm unable to properly input that exact amount into it.  I guess I have to say I have the exact amount.  I had t...

2nd Day of Investment Planning

I found these really nifty apps on the Chrome Web Store that you can add to your browser so that you can start budgeting money.  It's kind of a little complicated to use for some reason, but I hope I'll get through it.  I've started using EEBA.  Ugh.  I hate numbers. But I'm hoping I get used to using this method, then I'll be able to kind of like do the budgeting. It would have been better if I have like an android phone or even a notebook to take note of my expenses.  But oh well it's a start!

Why I Don't Need a Cell Phone Plan

This is one of the things I could live without.  I could live without a two-year contract without a cell phone plan.  Why? I don't have clients I need to get in touch with.  I don't have agents I need to get in touch with.  I don't need to send text brigades to a hundred people in order to get things done.  And I only spend PHP350 on my cell phone load per month.  It's enough for calling and texting.  I don't really even text anyone much except for the occasional people and my friends, and at this time, there are only about 5 people I've been texting.  But at least my cell phone load is ready any time I need to make a call or send a text message. I don't really need to spend PHP500 on whatnot. I don't think I even need to invest much in Internet usage now, since I'm budgeting an extra PHP600 per 15 days for internet, and hopefully it's going to be lesser than that.  It's going to be P500 per 15 days now for internet.  Well, I hope to...

My Savings Plan

I have been talking about a savings plan for quite a while now.  So I sat down and since I have internet, I decided to do the research.  What brought this about? It was when I started staying here at home, and finding out that my parent's investments with Prudential Life Plans have been flushed down the drain. Yesterday, they had to go to that company to claim what my mother reported as a PHP6,000 check for a PHP125,000 investment.  What with their being senior citizens, they got the chance to get in a little ahead of time than most of the people there. But being senior citizens, of course they don't have the energy or frame of mind to tackle why they only received such a measly amount for the their investment.  All that hoo-hah aside, the point of everything as far as I'm concerned is that I don't have a penny to my name.  Okay. The initial point of this all is that, number one, I NEED TO SAVE MONEY.   I need a savings account. I need SAVINGS. Perio...
