Skipping and Hopping: My Road to Financial Freedom
Ric is right. I've come a long way from loaning money. I had a loan but only because my daughter got sick. I have to make sure I don't have any additional expenses other than what's in my budget. But to tell you the truth, I haven't even properly learned budgeting.
I mean, I mean would budget my money in the sense that I anticipate general expenses. But not actual expenses like when my daughter asks for something. And so I have updated my Expenses Stoplight to kind of squeeze sudden expenses like that. I already have budget for sudden expenses. So if I need to spend, I just have to make sure it doesn't go over my Expenses Stoplight.
So as long as if I answer 'No' to the first two questions, but I answer yes to the third, then I will have to put those sudden expenses on hold. This stoplight by the way is only good for impulsive buying and a checkpoint for needs hovering between need and want, but leaning a little more to need. So do I really need it, or am I just making excuses to buy it?
It's actually not a really good stoplight because unlike my first stoplight, it really prevented me from spending over my budget. But then the main point of that stoplight is to prevent me from trying to borrow money from other people. Now that I no longer have that issue, my new struggle is how to NOT spend ney in already have.
Also, I've joined a new Challenge:
So previously I told you about this new challenge that I did. So I've already started. Hopefully by the end of the year, I have exactly what I was planning to save. And yes, I do believe I can totally save u for both my daughter's tuition. I have to remember that while I want to earn more money, I have two daughters that I need to take care of. I hope I have an job that will sustain me for the next ten years. So this for now more for later!
